About Me

Hello world!

My name is Linda Tieu and I’m an artist + designer living in the Tuscan hills of Italy. I’m originally a Californian girl, now learning to live the slow life! I love to draw, paint and bind books amongst other crafty ventures and this blog is all about my designs for surfaces…repeating patterns are so mesmerizing and I thought I would chronicle my adventures here.

Thanks for visiting, Bella! I really appreciate your comment. I’m also Chinese but grew up in America and now living in Italy!

I dropped in via your other blog through another blog. I love your designs. I am a fabric artist and just an artist at heart. There will never be enough time to create everything you want to create, but like you said, the main part is to focus. Sometimes setting big goals then setting mini goals, maybe having someone call up saying “Hey, how are you doing on that _____ project I thought you were going to have it done by such and such date.” Sometimes this works, maybe organizing a group of like minded friends will help you with a project schedule. But what ever you do remain true to yourself and stay happy with what you do.

Thanks Dorothy for your input. I always love to hear from others and their opinions on the topic. I agree that the obligation with other friends helps to push us forward … a bit of accountability!
